The Red Sox have agreed to terms with left-handed relief pitcher Hideki Okajima on a year, contract. The deal is said to be worth $2.75 million with Okajima having the ability to make up to $200,000 more depending on how many games he pitches in 2010. The move helped the Sox avoid salary arbitration with Okajima.

He finished third among qualifying American League pitchers and sixth in the majors, allowing just 16.2 percent of inherited runners to score.
