Yesterday was a sign to me and I am sure most of Red Sox Nation that the start of the 2010 season is just a month away. The Sox played their traditional Spring Training games yesterday afternoon and last night to kick off their pre-season game action. I can tell you first hand hearing NESN’s, Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo was something that has been longing since last fall. Even though it was a exhibition game against the Boston College Eagles it made realize that the season is coming and its coming fast! All I could think to myself was thank god to that. It has been one hell of a long off season.
In both games yesterday the Sox came away with a W. The Sox shoutout the Northeastern Huskies 15-0 and then in the night cap they beat the Boston College Eagles 6-1. The good points for me out of the 2 games. Boof Bonser and Casey Kelly opened my eyes a bit with their inning of dominance. Casey Kelly I have to say I think is the real deal. Another good sign for me was seeing David Ortiz hitting a HR in the first game of the day. I know its spring training, I know what they do here doesnt mean jack. I do know that Big Papi to me looks like he has something to prove.
